An exciting announcement from the Great Mural Wall of Topeka... A new mural about the
accomplishments, challenges, hopes and dreams of women in Kansas will be painted on the Great Mural Wall in the spring of 2014. The mural will be located at the corner of 20th & Fillmore (see photo of the location below).
Artist Ashley Jane Laird will lead the project. Laird, originally from Topeka and a graduate of Washburn University, has painted murals across the U.S. in Texas, South Dakota, Missouri and Arkansas, and in South Korea over the past five years. She was also the lead artist for the last mural at the Great Wall titled, "Reanimating the Arts in Topeka."
